Dear Friends,
I have been photographing Weddings, bridal portraits, family portraits , senior portraits, children, Dance students, Historic Charleston SC, nature scenics, marketing pieces for my employers, Medical Benefit events (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen etc.), & other events in the LowCountry since the early 1990's. While thus far I have done all of my photography while also being employed fulltime in various HealthCare or Sales & Marketing venues, it is my intention to continue growing my photography business towards a fulltime venture placing my attention on the family. Being a wedding photographer, family and child photographer has given me the opportunity to see a family grow from having small children to being the parents of the bride or groom. That is a special moment that I looking forward to having as a full time career.

In regards to my activity as an entrepreneurial LowCountry photographer...
I am "almost" a Low Country Native:
While it is true that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" & that photographic art can be highly subjective; in general the quality of mine or any other photographer's output can often fairly much speak for itself to our viewers. It is also true that there are photographers who are much more technically talented & experienced "through the lens" than I am. But there are some aspects of my individual photography work that give it unique value. I am someone who with a highly social nature & much experience in attending Weddings & other formal traditional events, has a natural understanding of the traditions & "flow" of such an event.
As a portrait photographer, I know from the heart what is important & needs to be captured for the perfect portrait - from a family portrait to a senior portrait. I suppose you could say I "shoot from the heart". It is a matter of "seeing" what needs to be seen even before it happens. Weddings & other such tradition rich events are events full of special people interacting in a thousand special moments just begging to be captured. When I shoot, I always shoot with my resultant album in mind. I shoot to photo-journalistically "tell the story" of those special people's day, but I also shoot artistically to produce an album that couples will want to proudly show on their coffee tables.
Fortunately I'm blessed with a very strong sense of artistic composition. I also truly love people, & relate to all, from little children, to youth, to adults, to the elderly. I have an integrity & sincerity that puts people at ease around me, & their pictures usually reflect that comfort. I love to wrap much added value up in very fairly priced total package deals, where I give every image, so that couples don't have to spend time deciding which to select. I love to serve, & to give credit for any such talent/ability as I'm deemed to have, to the Lord who gave it to me to serve with.
I am a family man:
My wife & I will celebrate our 25th anniversary together this January. We have a son who is a Chemistry major at Clemson, & a daughter who is a High School Dance Major at the Charleston County School of the Arts & is a former long term student of the Susan Causey Dance School, a current performing member of The Charleston Youth Company, & is also represented by the Millie Lewis Models & Talent Agency. I have gained experiences & opportunities to serve through my children's activities. I still have extended family in the LowCountry, & am a firm believer in the universal values of family.
I am a person with the "right kind" of personality:

I have a very outgoing, easygoing, agreeable personality. I can be very entertaining when I need to be, yet I understand & respect the sanctity of the worshipful aspects of a wedding, & the wishes of a bride & groom as the centers of attention for their special day. I really enjoy the formalities & traditions of Weddings services, & really enjoy the social aspects of parties & public events.
There's always an "Aunt Jane" who wants to run the show, or get her picture regardless of the photographer's presence,...that's just part of the human nature in such events. I choose to work with (& sometimes around) such people, always in a respectful & understanding manner. In my opinion, it is inappropriate folly to attempt to control them.
We are proud to provide lasting photographs to the Kiawah, John’s Island, James Island, Summerville, West Ashley and Mount Pleasant, SC communities.
